I was asked to take the Song Writing Workshop on 5th and 6th January at Ku-ring-gai Art Centre in Roseville.

It was a lot of fun. We came up with ideas for songs, wrote the words and then made up some chord patterns to go with them. We recorded our songs on my phone. Then one of the kids taught me how to produce our songs using Garage Band on my lap top. My son showed me how to email the songs to the kids.

Ah technology! Every day I wake up to find something new is possible.

I also enjoyed teaching another creative writing workshop on Friday 13th Jan. We talked about the superstitions that are linked to Friday 13th. I was very impressed with the interesting mix of stories the kids produced.

Teaching these workshops is one of my most favourite things to do.
