Sat 28th June was the Kids and YA Literature Festival at NSW Writer’s Centre run by our vice president, Aleesah Darlison. It was a fabulous day of friendly company, stimulating conversations, discussions and lots of ideas swirling around. I was lucky to chair a panel- Place, culture and identity in children’s literature. I had Boori Monty Pryer, Sarah Ayoub and Wai Chim. I read these people’s work and really enjoyed leading the discussion. So many interesting opportunities are coming my way in the world of kids and books. I think I have my dream job. Ha!
