This is a quick update of what’s been going on.

* I taught 3 fun holiday workshops at Ku-ring-gai Art Centre in January.

* I have just finished teaching creative writing classes for Term 1 at Ku-ring-gai Art Centre. I have 24 terrific kids and some outstanding writers in there. We made a class book again to share their work.

* I have had a story accepted in the School Magazine called ‘The Year of the Monkey’ It will be coming out later this year.

*One of my students won the State Rail Safety writing competition with one of his poems. The prize is his teacher (me) and 5 of his friends get to go for a tour underneath Central Railway Station. That’s later in April.

* I am still the President of the Children’s Book Council Northern Sydney Sub Branch (this is the 5th year) we have lots of terrific events planned. You can check out details at

* I’m looking forward to the CBCA National Conference at the Menzies in Sydney on 19th-21st May. You can book on the CBCA NSW website.

*One very exciting thing that happened was my son got married in March. Now both our kids are married.

* I am going to do a bit of a re-vamp on this web-site and blog in May. Stay tuned.

Roll on 2016. It’s shaping up to be a fabulous year in the children’s book world.
