A happy group of book lovers piled into a bus and made the trip to Blackheath to visit Margaret Hamilton’s Children’s Book Cottage – Pinerolo. The roads were edged with melting snow and the weather was sleeting, but we soldiered on. Margaret Hamilton graciously welcomed us with a delicious morning tea. Glenda Millard enthralled us with her stories. I recommend a visit to Pinerolo.
We had lunch at a pub and then a quick stroll around Leura then ventured home.
This is the first time our sub branch has organised an excursion like this and we will definitely do it again. Great day!
