Saturday 15th September
Belrose Library came alive with live school bands, face painting, BBQ, ice creams and Emily Rodda.
I loved listening to Emily Rodda speak about her stories, her inspirations and how she manages to fit everything into her life. After her talk there was a very long line of parents and kids waiting to have their books signed by her. Deltora Quest is so popular and her new series, the Door series sounds fabulous too. Altogether I think she’s written over 90 books.
After that Point Break Drama group did a wonderful job of dramatising some of the winning stories from the Warringah Library Young Writers’ Writing Competition 2012.
Well done to Trish McLeod and the librarians from Warringah.
